Washington, DC – The George Washington University's Graduate School of Political Management proudly announces Yadira Feliciano-Lacot as this year’s Kelly J. Purcell Scholarship recipient. Established in 2006 by the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues, the endowment honors the memory Kelly J. Purcell, a GWU alum who had served as the League’s director of federal government affairs.

The scholarship supports a master’s degree student from The Graduate School of Political Management who demonstrates the self-discipline, passion, and vitality for which Purcell was known. In her remarks to the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues during a reception held February 23, 2009, at the Washington Convention Center, Feliciano-Lacot remarked, “I am honored to be this year’s Kelly Purcell Scholarship recipient. I hope I can live up to the example set by Kelly and continue her legacy.”
